Location

Highfield Park, Denbigh

Ap Mitchell are proud to be part of the Dark Sky Project, an initiative set up by the Welsh Government's Sustainable Landscape Sustainable Places programme.

Project Dark Sky

The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are working in partnership with and on behalf of the eight designated Landscapes in Wales, through the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Landscape Sustainable Places programme. The Dark Sky's project is funded by Welsh Government and aims to reduce light pollution within the eight designated landscapes (DL) of Wales, by retrofitting lights at community and public spaces and supporting local businesses to retro fit dark sky friendly lighting.

This appointment is part of the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Landscapes, Sustainable Places (SLSP) programme, funding lighting schemes and retrofitting projects across the eight DLs over the coming years. The aim of the project is to reduce light pollution in the Designated Landscapes of Wales and to lessen or remove the negative impacts on biodiversity, climate, public health and for the protection of the dark sky.
